Volunteering:I love having volunteers in the classroom! If you are interested in volunteering or attending field trips as a chaperone you must receive the Virtus Training (Protecting God’s Children). Please visit www.virtus.org to register online. Training sessions are offered frequently, so sign up today!
Snacks:
We will have a snack break daily, roughly around 10am depending on the days schedule. If your student wishes to eat a snack, he/she will be responsible for bringing their own snack. I will have a handful of snacks available for emergencies and occasional forgetfulness; however I will not be providing snacks regularly. Snacks will not be shared within the class unless specified by the parent. In addition, please remind your student that due to food allergies, they are not to share their snacks amongst each other.
I encourage healthy snacks. Examples of great snacks are: apples, crackers, cheese sticks, grapes, granola bars, etc. Water bottles may also be sent in for snack time, however we will have water breaks throughout the day as well. Please note * we are peanut free!
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the changes in our lunch program, "snack tickets" and snacks will NO longer be up for purchase from the cafeteria.
Changes in Transportation:
Each student’s primary method of transportation home from school is documented and displayed in the classroom (ex. Riding the bus, car rider, etc.) If your child’s method of transportation is to change, at any time, a written note is absolutely required from you (the parent/guardian) each time. This cannot be stressed enough. A child's word will not be acceptable and no exceptions will be made. Without written documentation, your child will be sent home via their primary method. We are greatly concerned about the safety of your child!
